Why can’t I install my own software to run on the web server?

We have designed and tested the web software included in both (as of 12-6-04) hosting plans. We know the web server configuration and services implemented work well with our packages/services, i.e. Content Publishing, Newsletter delivery in both HTML and Text.

We prefer to maintain only what we know works, won’t cause problems for server operations or open up insecurities, allowing problems that could affect all of our clients.
